The Altamont, built in 1924, was a grand hotel, and the Queen of the City. In fact, it was considered one of the top ten hotels in the country. Today, it is a nine-story class “A” office complex with approximately ninety-six thousand square feet. We currently have some full floors available that are seven thousand eight hundred square feet, offices as small as five hundred square feet, which can be built to suit your specific needs. Our pricing is much more competitive than KOZ buildings in our area.

Current Altamont tenants include a delicatessen, beauty salon, tax service, barber shop, employment agencies, banquet hall (Altamont Ballroom), meeting rooms, counseling center, architect, sports memorabilia sales, clothing store, and more. Special events, both public and private, are also held in our Ballroom; First Night events, art auctions, community meetings, wedding receptions, anniversaries, and birthday parties to name but a few. The Ballroom was restored to its original grandeur, with vaulted ceilings, original lead crystal chandeliers, and elegant columns, make any event picturesque and a day for all to remember.

The Altamont is protected by fire, smoke, and sprinkler systems, as well as security cameras. We have three elevators and two fireproof stairwells. All stores and offices have their own heating and air conditioning systems. The elegant lobby, on the main floor, consists of approximately three thousand square feet, featuring the original terrazzo floors, floor to ceiling windows, and travertine walls.
